Before you.
timer Published Date:29th Sep, 2020

There were eyes that lingered through my body before you could ever see me. I have tasted heartbreaks in their mouth way before I learned how to dive into your world. And I was known of calamities they brought, sharp branches they laid over the ground I walked, of turbulence, of riots, of tyranny and war. There were men, before you who moaned my name only on the verge of alchohol drying out in their bottle, they were made of gunpowders and everything that was poision, and more often they would remind me of running blades across my wrist. And I know some people who used to write me poetries in bold of blooming madness in me, of chaos they couldn’t keep up with and of pretty tapestries that reminded them of me. There were men before you, who would kiss me goodnight, talked about world wars and stars in planetariums, and brought me lillies from their gardens. And some of them sang to me their favorite song of artists I never heard of, they wanted me to come to city with them – they are famous now. I sometimes hear them play on local radio stations on Sunday morning, for some other girls in town. Few of them left messages saying, that Florida has nothing for them to offer – that they want to go to horse riding like old summer days and play on caraousel in the park. Before you, people didn’t really knew how to become a home, a home to belong, a home to me, they tried to tame me, tame me and tame me till they couldn’t. Since people are always attracted to something forbidden they wrote poetries on me, spoke to me in a big pretty words and tried to drown in me through liquors. They brought me lillies while I loved daisies, and they spoke to me with such a limerance and sighs, they wanted me to know about gods, scholars and philosophers and arts that makes us human. So before you came, there were lovers who bled for me – bleeded me, talked so passionately. I have tasted heaven, I have tasted hell in the mouth of people who claimed to have loved me.
